Renovation Update
1:25 PM | Edit Post
As week three of the project has come to a close tremendous progress has been made. The project is at the half way point and holes; 17,18,12,7,9 remain to be finished.
With #9 taking shape all of the earth work is wrapping up and coming to end, the bunker face has been sodded in Zoysia and the surrounds will be Turf Type Tall Fescue once completed.
#14 has been rolled and mowed and fertilized for a second time and is shaping up nicely. The ground staff will continue on a very aggressive agronomic program to get the newly sodded fairways ready for play August.
#2 green continues to heal and take shape, this is a very crucial time for the newly sodded bentgrass to get some extra TLC to make it through the heat of the summer with no root system development until soil temperatures cool down. The rough sod around the green has been fertilized with an organic fertilizer to help it root and recover.I have included a video of McDonald & Son's installing sod during the project below.
